Residents and local tourists make the most of Galungan holiday by visiting the popular spot, Kebun Raya Eka Karya or the Bali Botanical Garden today in Bedugul Tabanan regency, about 60 KM from Denpasar, Bali Indonesia.
According to the manager of Bali Botanical Garden, the cool-air spot has been flooded by visitors since this morning, either using a two or four-wheeled personal vehicle. Actually, the apparent increase in traffic started since last Eid holiday last week and reached its peak today, when Hindus celebrate Galungan which is usually filled with a trip to a vacation place.
"We forecast the total visit today could be reaching 8,000 people," said Head of Information Services of Bali Botanical Garden, Henry Sujarwo when contacted on Thursday (30/08/2012).
In the normal holiday, tourist traffic usually reached 1,000 people. However, today is really surprising with increased guests significantly, mainly dominated by domestic tourists. Meanwhile, regular day time from Monday to Friday, tourists visit only about 200 people.
